This Payment Policy explains how payment works when you order from gemiddleton.shop. The store is run under the trading name G.E. Middleton by G.E. Middleton & Co Ltd.
1. Prices and currency
All prices on our website are shown in pounds sterling (GBP, £), and all orders are charged in GBP. Prices include any applicable taxes.
2. Your order total
Before you confirm your order, checkout shows the full total you will pay, including the price of each item, the delivery option you have chosen and any applicable taxes. Standard delivery to UK addresses is free. If you choose an optional paid delivery service, its price is added to the total and shown before you pay.
3. Accepted payment methods
The payment methods available for your order are shown at checkout. The payment icons displayed at the bottom of our website reflect the methods currently enabled for our store. Availability can depend on your order and device, so please refer to checkout for the options available to you.
4. When payment is taken
When you place your order, your payment is authorised through our secure checkout, and in most cases it is taken at that point. If we cannot accept your order, for example because an item is unavailable, we will let you know and any amount taken or authorised will be refunded or released.
5. Secure payment processing
Our checkout is provided by Shopify, and payments are handled by our payment providers over encrypted connections. We do not see or store your full card details. Payments may be checked for fraud and may require extra verification by your card issuer, such as a one-time passcode or approval in your banking app.
6. Refunds
Refunds are issued to the original payment method used for your order. We will email you when a refund has been issued. Your bank or card provider may take several more working days to show the refund in your account. 7. Payment problems
If your payment is declined, please check your details and try again, or contact your bank or card provider. If you think you have been charged incorrectly, please contact us with your order number and we will look into it.
