Terms of service

Last updated: 15 October 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to your use of gemiddleton.shop (the “website”) and to any order you place with us through it. Please read them before placing an order.

1. Who we are

The website is operated under the trading name G.E. Middleton by G.E. Middleton & Co Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”). Our business contact address is 359-363 City Rd, Stretford, Manchester M15 4DE, United Kingdom. You can contact us by email at contact@gemiddleton.shop or by phone on +44 161 872 8409.

The website is hosted on Shopify's e-commerce platform.

2. These Terms

These Terms, together with our Shipping Policy, Return and Refund Policy, Payment Policy and Privacy Policy, form the agreement between you and us. If there is any inconsistency, the more specific policy applies to the matter it covers.

The website is intended for consumers buying for personal use. If you are a consumer, you have legal rights that these Terms do not take away (see section 12).

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version that applies to your order is the one published on the website when you place it.

3. Using the website

You agree to use the website lawfully and not to:

  • interfere with or disrupt the website or the systems it runs on;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the website, other customers' accounts or our systems;
  • use the website to send unsolicited marketing or harmful material; or
  • place orders using false information or someone else's payment details without permission.

We try to keep the website available and working correctly, but we cannot promise that it will always be available or free from errors. We may suspend or change the website, for example to carry out maintenance.

4. Product information

We take care to describe and show products accurately. Images are for illustration, and colours may look slightly different depending on your screen. If an item you receive does not match its description, you have rights under our Return and Refund Policy and the law.

Product listings that show more than one option (for example colour or storage) list the options available. Please check your selection before you add an item to your basket.

5. Prices

Prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP). The total you will pay, including any applicable taxes and the delivery option you choose, is shown at checkout before you confirm your order. Standard UK delivery is free.

If we discover that a product was listed at an obviously incorrect price, we will contact you before your order is accepted to ask whether you want to continue at the correct price or cancel. If we have already taken payment and you choose to cancel, we will refund you in full.

6. Placing an order and how a contract is formed

When you place an order, you are offering to buy the items in it. We will email you to confirm that we have received your order. That email does not mean your order has been accepted.

A contract is formed when we email you to confirm that your order has been dispatched. We may decline an order before then, for example if an item is unavailable, if there is an obvious pricing error, or if we cannot verify your payment. If we decline your order after taking payment, we will refund you in full.

7. Payment

Payment is made through our secure checkout. The payment methods available to you are shown at checkout. More information is in our Payment Policy.

8. Delivery

We deliver to addresses in the United Kingdom only. Delivery details are set out in our Shipping Policy. Items are our responsibility until they are delivered to you or to someone you nominate. Ownership of the items passes to you once we have received full payment and the items have been delivered.

9. Cancellations and returns

You have a legal right to cancel your order from the moment you place it until 14 days after delivery. In addition, we offer a 30-day returns window from delivery. Full details of how to cancel, return an item and receive a refund are in our Return and Refund Policy.

10. Faulty items

Goods we sell must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If something is wrong with an item, please contact us. Your rights are explained in our Return and Refund Policy.

Some products may also come with a manufacturer's guarantee. Where this applies, it is in addition to your legal rights and does not replace them.

11. Intellectual property

The content of the website, including text, graphics, logos and page design, belongs to us or our licensors. You may view and print pages for your own personal use, but you may not copy, reproduce or use our content for commercial purposes without our written permission. Product names, brands and trade marks belong to their respective owners.

12. Our responsibility to you

If we fail to comply with these Terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach or our failure to use reasonable care and skill.

We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and for breach of your legal rights in relation to the products, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

We only supply products for domestic and private use. If you use the products for any commercial or business purpose, we are not liable to you for loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity.

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control. If such an event affects your order, we will contact you as soon as possible, and you may cancel and receive a refund for anything you have paid for but not received.

13. Your statutory rights

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer. For information about your consumer rights, you can contact Citizens Advice.

14. Questions and complaints

If you have a question or a complaint, please contact us at contact@gemiddleton.shop or on +44 161 872 8409. We will try to resolve it as quickly as we can.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in the courts of your home nation.
