Warranty Policy

Last updated: 23 October 2026

This page explains the protection you have when you buy from G.E. Middleton (G.E. Middleton & Co. Limited, company number 01210962) and how to report a problem.

Your statutory rights

We do not offer a separate commercial warranty. Every purchase is protected by your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. These rights are given by law, and nothing in our policies removes or limits them. Goods must be:

  • of satisfactory quality;
  • fit for purpose, including any particular purpose you told us about before buying; and
  • as described on the product page.

What you are entitled to if something is wrong

  • Within 30 days of delivery: you can reject faulty goods for a full refund.
  • After 30 days, or if you prefer: you can ask for a repair or replacement. If that is not possible or does not fix the problem, you can ask for a price reduction or a refund.
  • Within six months of delivery: a fault is presumed to have been present at delivery unless we can show otherwise.
  • After six months: your rights continue, but you may need to show the fault was present at delivery.

You can bring a claim for up to six years from delivery in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, or five years in Scotland.

Manufacturer guarantees

Where a product comes with a manufacturer’s guarantee, it is in addition to your statutory rights and does not replace them.

What is not a fault

Your rights cover problems present at delivery. They do not usually cover accidental damage, misuse, liquid damage, normal wear and tear after delivery, or repairs or modifications made by someone else.

How to report a problem

  1. Contact us by email, phone or our contact form with your order number.
  2. Tell us what is wrong. Photos or a short video help, but are not a condition of your rights.
  3. If the item needs to come back, we will arrange it at our cost to 359-363 City Rd, Stretford, Manchester M15 4DE.
  4. We will then provide the repair, replacement, price reduction or refund you are entitled to.
